3 years ago the chassis was overhauled.

New out riggers, zinc primed and black chassis enamel.

Then the body shell had work, the car came with an acrylic pop rivetted sun roof..... so that got glassed shut, filled, profiled and smoothed off.

After the bonnet chassis giving way and snapping and cracking the bonnet I managed to get a new replacement.

The bonnet being 50% visual looks and the roof in primer I decided its time to set about the shell....

Rear vents filled, properly, not just filled in, but glassed and profiled.

Whole car rubbed down and filled all chips, scratcjes and imperfections that I could find. Door handles off, doors off, windows out...

Masked then primered. 2k with the help of Tony

Doors prepped, primed and wet samded with 400 grit

Wet sanded the whole car, quick glimpse of the roof...

Bonnet primered but haven't yet wet sanded..

Quite like this pic to be honest!

At the same time I found some gremlins, scotch blocks found and removed, wires soldiered and proper connectors used, not twisted wires and wires rammed in spades and clamped... (previous owner)

Need to flatten a few bits still, reprime, flat then paint, ford radiant red, loosing the brown stripe, not sure of "forever" or for now....

Hopefully she'll look as good as this again!

Cheers Frank!

Haha the flux capacitor.... the original tank cover had massive speakers and it was so weak, so I reinforced the cover and had a speaker laying around.

Eventually I'll sort interior parts a d loose the OTT speaker!

Spot on and done yourself in a single Garage. This is what car building is all about.

I can't take all the credit.. Tony sprayed the car for me, but I have done all the prep and work.

Helped along with advice from others but I've always turned my hand to all parts.

Looking forward to new year, better weather, colour, new seals and back on the road!
