Does any one have fitted or knowledge on, a adjustable boost control on a 993 turbo. Not looking for more power, but less for wet conditions.
Also interested in how it works?
Have had a look at a Blitz electronic system on the web, so far.
Regards

Less for wet conditions? The car is so docile that unless you're using 145 section tyres you must simply be suffering a lead foot!

I would steer clear of adjustable boost that bypass the standard motronic control (variable boost depending on knock conditions etc.)

Is your TT uprated Burzel? As I have never had any probs with mine (450hp) in the wet, apart from a little wheel spin in 1st sometimes. Which tyres are you running?

Thanks

Martyn.

Sorry, i should mention its a 993 gt2 race car,600bhp and 1100kgs,so expecting it to be fun/handful in the wet.
I want to get a good wet set up, so important for less power and hopefully more speed in the wet, if that makes sense.
Will be running Dunlop slicks and wets, in the Porsche club open and hopefully a few rounds of National Gt.
I will have to speak to Colin ooop north, he has probably got a couple of answers, one may be motec.
I just remember the old group b turbos/935 etc having this great big dial and adjuster in the cabin; course things were a little simpler then with single turbo etc
I was hoping that some body may have fitted a adjustable boost to a 993 tt,but of course they have 4 wheels pulling them, so not such a issue in the wet.

Talk about missing out a few details! 600bhp GT2! How about I swap with you when it's raining?

RACELOGIC traction control which has varying degrees of slippage. Problem solved.

Not sure what boost is running, Porsche computer says .9bar.But these tend to not be that accurate.
I will need to measure the boost etc it has now, and make some plans, of where to go next.
These turbo things are new to me really, as i have been running my normally aspirated cup car and rs. The gt2 street version, I just drive and don’t play around with any factory parameters, Its quick enough for the road!
I don’t want any driver aids/gadgets, traction control etc just less boost.
The plan is when wet to hopefully make up for the 150bhp deficit i have against other class one cars .As im sure you know the wet is a great leveller, and most have adjustable boost.
Happy new year to you all
