Nurburgring this weekend? 8th/9th November

I'm off to Germany tomorrow and going to see if I can get a few laps of the 'ring in at the weekend!

I've never been before or even done a track day in my E46 M3 so will be taking it very easy, having watched plenty of 'ring smash vids to keep me on my toes!

The weather will probably be poor anyway - not the perfect time of year for the first visit but oh well!

Anyone else going to be there?

I'm out here all year as we live here. Will probably be kicking about at some point on track. Depends if the company i work for needs any track instruction. I instruct on the Ring as do a few other brits that are still out here.
Be warned that some of the track is very slippy where damp. Invariably this time of year the track can be wet thru rain or overnight damp/mist/fog. Some parts ie from about 5km in right to 20km in are shaded by trees and can easily catch out rear wheel drive. As the irish guy found out saturday in his E46 M3.
As a footnote hiring out rear wheel drive cars for use on the track is nigh on impossible nowadays for good reason. We want people to go away happy and with car and person in one piece.
Take it very easy and have a look around or pm me and maybe we can hook up.

Thanks for the offers of help, I actually had to cut short my trip and come home urgently for personal reasons so missed out on the ring but will hopefully be going again in spring so will ask for your help again then!

So another M3bit the dust (big time) over the w/end? Saw it being trailered away from Bongard on Sunday, very comprehensive job done-hope the driver was ok?
