Fault on LG plasma - worth repairing ?

Model is 42pq6000 . It's started to flash purple patches in bright scenes ! I've changed inputs and cables but the error remains
Is it scrap time or worth a repair - I see 42 inch sets are down to the 300 ish mark now ....

If you have the funds a new screen is worth a punt. Some deals to be had before Christmas too.
