Excellent work.

I watched the program and although it looks good, it also looks like a massive faff.

I think I do a pretty mean lasagne anyway but I'm just going to have to try it.

Let us know the results.

All of his stuff does. Which goes against what I thought he was trying to achieve.

Very very very very intense flavour. If you are going tom make it I would halve the sugar quantities. OR. only have half the amount of lasagna thst you would usually have.

So so intense.

I disagree. I thought the point of this series was to make each dish the best ever, and if that takes some effort so be it. And I for one am glad this kind of programme exists - there's too many "shortcut" type foodie programmes on the telly, it's nice to redress the balance a little.

Yeah... very different to a "stock" lasagna. You only need a smallish portion. When it says serves 6-8... i'd say thats accurate in terms of the "face blasting" it gives you.

Oh my, that looks really good and intense.

I had that programme recorded and have just watched it, when I'm off my diet I think it may have to be done.

Personally I don't think tinned tomatoes can be beaten for that sort of dish but if I used fresh tomatoes the skins would be removed as they are just inedible.

puts me off too

i once tried a bolognese recipe by heston blumenthal. many many steps to make it - but i just had to try it once. took me a day and a half to make the - in the end, it was tasty, but not so much that i'd do it again.
