Got back to London this evening, got bored quickly so had a wander around my local area with the D70. Planned just to get a few shots of the Thames from Lambeth Bridge, but as i haven't got a tripod yet, half the pics turned out blurred due to long exposures.

Headed off down the river to the London Eye and took a few pics before heading north of the river to Parliament Square via Trafalgar.

Here are a few shots:

You must have a very steady hand if you took those without a tripod!

Some very good pictures there for your first time out with the camera, especially with no tripod!

Ok, while we're on the subject of first shots with a camera. Here is pretty much the first one I took with my 300D a couple of weeks back.

Haven't had a proper chance to have a play with my 20D yet - only chance so far was a couple of nights ago when we had a full moon.

My first shots with a DSLR:

Some of those light-trail shots must've been with a supported camera, right?

I'd be amazed if you told me all of 'em were handheld.
