It's another one of them replicas, ex RED 213.
If you are happy with a replica rather than the real thing, the chassis will be good so the hard work is done.
Not sure why you would talk it down in value Andrew, you have talked up some rough Vixens and 3000S in the past?

Originally a gunmetal grey Taimar Turbo, sent back to the factory to be converted to SE body/wheel spec. by the then owner Peter Hancock...my thoughts are that you would have to reference either R.C's or D.B's cars for true SE Spec.(I did see the Maroon car on here minus the Compomotive split rims (a good move IMHO as the 13" centres with stack-up to 14" alloy rims really need putting in a safe place for show days) but do not know the current owner.
Last I heard from this car (in the last week) was the owner trying to get the set up done ready for this going to auction, and it must be a mess as it sounds like it has flame blow-out as it spools the turbo up (very dangerous for the engine!!)...it has a history with me, OR RATHER one the previous owners that I explained to the current owner (it would help if that was settled in my favour) but heyho.

It is good to have a intelligent man like Pridaux here on this forum; every classic TVR that comes for sale on the market ; he has some comment : if people wish to know something about a classic TVR , just one adress : PM mister Pridaux ; it is "The pre 80 TVR Guru" . Soon he will arrive at 3500 topics ; does anybody did more topics on Pistonhead? please give him some award for all his hard work in this classic TVR Forum
I liked reading all the classic TVR topics but I stopped since a few months ; I always read comments from the same man , in almost every topic here.
Now I read occasionally on this classic forum
My message ; please Mr Pridaux, give other people some space to write and read the they like ,without interfere. It will make a lot of people happy on this forum.
Kindest Regards

I am more than happy to do so and have already set the wheels in motion earlier this evening I did however do so last year and after a number of weeks I received numerous e mails from others saying that things where boring and would I post again.
I am far from a Guru and only learning well be it fast as I want to learn as well however I have fantastic people who have many years experience who often contact me with information to share but prefer to remain nameless and help and guide the work I do including Profesional Restorers that offer advice and guidance and I feel it a shame not to share that knowledge and I am aware it may make it look like I know it all which I don't but I do know others benefit from that information and hence the great cars we love do as well.
I have however Asked Al to Delete all the posts that I have started and he has assured me he will which will sadly loose much information that we have on the forum he has asked me to sleep on it but I feel that unlike the TVRCC Forum where people cant hide behind false names this forum sadly attracts the wrong people that spoil it for others

The thought of this turns my stomach. Please reconsider with all of the hard work you put it this forum and working with both the UK and USA clubs. With out your input many important things have come to light. To delete you postings would be a great loss to all involved in the world of classic TVRS. Your cars and enthusiasm is not lost to many that view your postings. I beg you to get some rest and think mor about what you would be doing.
Best always,
D.

Since your arrival on the Classics forum, there has been more enthusiasm, here, than during the preceding years. I, for one, would think that you would continue to enjoy your learning curve, without allowing others to sour your experience, and I think wiping so much of your contribution to the forum is hasty, and a move you will regret when it is too late. Please reconsider.
Personally, I don't have a problem with people expressing opinions, and this is the exact correct place for it. In fact, I believe your affection for the pre-M cars has been rubbing off on me. Wouldn't want that to stop.
Paul,
As an adult, have you not learned to ignore that which doesn't please you? If you are unhappy with Andrew's opinions, don't read his posts. Seems simple enough. As with any other open forum, we can all post what we feel is appropriate.
It's a bit odd, to me, that you wouldn't see Andrew's near 3.500 posts as a positive, as emblematic of his involvement in our on-line community. I certainly do.
Best,
B.

Agree with all the above Andrew keep up the posts don't delete anything not every one who finds your information useful posts. There will be a lot of people out there that have gained some useful information as a direct result of the time you have taken to explain things in detail. Andrew, this forum is one of the most vibrant and informed of any of the single mark / model forums on PH, I think precisely because of the enthusiasm of people like yourself. Having just bought a Vixen project i am about to start on the learning curve you have already gone up. Your encouragement, enthusiasm and offers of help are very much appreciated and I would ask you to reconsider before withdrawing from this forum.
Paul, I don't get where you are coming from, is it something personal? In almost 12 years of membership you've posted 73 times, you don't seem to be particularly active on here. I'm not sure why you feel you need to attack an individual so strongly in a topic based forum - I think it is completely inappropriate. No one obliges you to read the forum...

Thanks for posting that. It's quite amazing to think that in 1977 the cost of adding a radio cassette player was 200 quid, and more expensive than. leather seats! Ah..... The days when a cassette radio was the pinnacle of in car tech!

Only since Andrew has started posting has there been the level of falling out, aggressive contradiction and generally unhelpful posting - is that his fault, probably not.
He is an enthusiastic, sometimes providing misleading information but not maliciously. No one knows everything and that includes those that have criticised.
Let's lighten up, start to respect the views of others (again) and enjoy the forum as intended.

Hi Andrew,
As mentioned early Andrew ignore the reactions that do not help the discussions nor the exchange of facts and figures.
I do understand that's difficult but at least try.
I must say I sometimes I do not understand the underlying of the so called funny quote's, so I miss the clue.
What I do know is that I like this forum and for a big part that's because of your input.
So keep the TVR's rolling.
Hans

BACK ON TOPIC, please... there are more important things to prattle on about...I need to get things ready for the work I have to do tomorrow on a Red car, prior to it's auction next week.

I agree totally with you Adrian but yet again it has come back to a topic about a certain individual and not about what this thread was intended for. As I have already said, another thread hijacked unfortunately.Adrian@
what have you got left to do then Adrian?
