Hello!
Sorry for the boring thread but I'm curious.
I want to drive my Tuscan from Bedfordshire to South Devon and I would like to know how much fuel I wil use. Purely for planning purposes, what do people get from theirs?
65-70 mph cruise on the mway, approx 250 miles.

I didn't buy a TVR for economy, I just want to know how much it will cost me! Im thinking about 60 pounds 1 way.
Cheers!

I rarely get more than 190 miles out of a tank (full to 10L indicated), that's about £70. You might do a bit better at your cruise speed with the roof on, but 30-40% more would be really impressive.

Hope you get a good day for it.

I averaged 28mpg on a recent trip to and around Wales for a week. This was a mix of driving mostly with air con on (for the dog) and I must say I was impressed.

'Normal' driving (in a Tuscan? Yeah Right!) I can generally get 250-270 miles out of a tank with a small bit in reserve (5 or so litres). I used to commute 90 miles each day and could get 3 days per tank if I was sensible! As you'll be doing M-way driving, you should be able to get around 250 if you keep the spirited driving fairly low - but then what did you buy a Tuscan for?

Good stuff, so I should be able to do it on one tank.
Sensible driving on the motorway, no matter what car you're in it's boring but in a decatted Tuscan, fast mway driving will be unbearable!
Thankfully there are some brilliant roads near me in Devon. That's where the real driving will take place!

'Bout the same as mine.
Trip to Angouleme in September, keeping at 80-85 mph on autoroutes, managed around 260 on a tank.
If the weather is typical November, then you'll hardly be giving it large ;-).

In my T350 doing a motorway cruise upto Scotland I filled up at 243miles and only need 33 litres of fuel on the way back it was 247miles and 37 litres. That was at a 70-80mph cruise because of the number of cameras and unmarked cars.

This was a 3.6 I assume the 4l will drink a bit more but with a 50l tank I'd not be worried.

Best I've found is about 30mpg - though be wary about letting it get low - the fuel left estimate can be a good 7/8 litres out!

I did a 600 mile round trip the other day with an average of 25mpg. Was quite impressed because I was NOT driving economically.

I drove my T350C with TVR Power 4.3 from Bradford to near Derby to Stourbridge to Manchester to Bradford (2550 miles) and got 27 mpg, which I was impressed with, because I wasn't try for economy.

I drove my standard 2006 Tamora from Bingley to Louth (105 miles) and got 37 mpg.
