I currently have the old shape Range Rover Sport and I love the car, especially that the high roof and fold flat seats give masses of loading space. I frequently have to put boxes in the car and take them around town, etc, so I am often chucking stuff in the back and have the rear seats flat about 1-2 times per week.

So I wanted to see if anyone can advise on which of the new range rover sport and range rover options would be my best choice to give the maximum and easiest to use loading space.

I had a look in the sport at the dealer, rear access is good - I actually like the one piece tailgate so you can just chuck stuff on the boot floor, rather than putting it onto the tailgate than pushing it forward. The seats (manual) fold forward ok, but not flat which is ANNOYING! Roof line is pretty low compared to old one it seems and loses a good bit of space and utility.

Looking at the range rover, the split tailgate means that it is a bit more work to load boxes in the back, the seats (electric) seemed to lie a long way off flat, however the roof was taller and seemed more airy in there for getting stuff in.

Can anyone shed some light on which the best model is and more to the point if there is a specific optioning which helps increase load space - e.g. manual/electric rear seats?

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion and for just lugging stuff around I would consider the Discovery. But I also use it as my day-to-day car for personal errands and for family trips, etc. So for that side of things the Range Rover really wins out and plus I really love the Range Rover package anyway.

I know it won't be perfect for hauling stuff, but I just want the best setup that they offer on a RR or RRS and that will be OK.
