Osborne 'expects' fuel price drop after fall in oil price
The Chancellor, George Osborne, has said the government will be watching petrol and diesel distributors "very carefully" to ensure they pass on oil price reductions to customers

And anyone would think that there's an election due sometime in the very near future. Especially since a lot of planned fuel duty rises have been blocked, and a massive sum has been "found" to attack the pothole problem.or is it that some one had told the Eton group that the workers need cars to get to work as the public transport system eats up more subsidies , and they've suddenly woken up to the fact that car owners and drivers have a vote.

Rather than attack the sellers, perhaps they should Lower the duty and stop charging VAT.
They could do that, but then they'd have a lot less money to spend. You'd be better off identifying which UK Gov services should be cut back on
and making a list.
Given that waste, red tape and inefficiencies are pretty much on that
list as standard, where would you go from there ?
I'd go for a 10% reduction in the defence budget and 10% off the sacred
cow that is the NHS.
Any others ?
