I am still looking for an early TVR but I am struggling to find the right car after going to the Pre 80s event in September I decided it had to be either a Vixen or a M series Convertible 3000s.
I seem to be finding cars that either need a lot of work or the owners claim that they have been restored but unlike that Vixen I noticed for sale in America which looks pristine but that level of restoration don't seem to come up here if that car was here and a RHD it would be fantastic.
Does anyone know of a very good restored example that's coming on the market I don't have any ability to do the work myself so I have decided that a Restored example is the best way to go.

For me the same problem with your private mail.

You can even choose your color for the Vixen.
Mail me if you want.

I have been offered this car at £14000 I wonder does anyone have any more information on the car I am told it was one of the first S2 Vixens and has the early wooden dash.
I believe it was restored in the 90s by David Gerald and just needs some paint work I wonder does anyone have any history or knowledge of the car in the last few years
Thanks

Folks probably need the number plate or chassis number to tell what car it is

Looks Very Much like this car that was on e bay in August looks like it was a dealer sale again rather than a private byer
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-Vixen-S2-1968-so-ver...
Very nice looking car from the pictures you would be wise to have a very good inspection done on the car if you are unsure what to look for do factor in that its an older restoration and many things can need doing that others think as change when they have to and some change as routine maintenance regardless of how much its been used

As the now trader in tvr,s has not even bothered to change the pic it could only of course be the same car (amateur!!!!) only the price that is different then.

Yep, definitely the same car. The same photo as one of those listed on ebay.

And all in 9 weeks without anyone spotting it up for sale again without even the paintwork being sorted I thought dealers added Value by at least sorting issues with a car to justify a £4500 margin

This one needs its own passport? A lot of selling and money lost in a VERY short time. I agree with Griff.
Lovely car....will have it for the 9.5 as sold on ebay!
Best,
D.

when i spoke to the 'dealer' who got it from ebay for 9.5k, he was unashamedly frank that he was putting it for sale again at 16k, without doing anything at all to the car since he aquired it (and with no intention of doing so)

Btw, in the end, my search resulted in buying a cerbera. Too much performance to turn down for not very much money (so far i love it)

however, i am still after a Vixen

odd how someone making a profit on a car seems to be a hangable offence on here..
All people had to do was offer more than the 9.5k that the dealer offered at the time then they would own it....

how astute u are.
As i said in another post- I did offer the vendor this price and potentially more, if he could hold off for 2 days until i see the car for real (i was abroad)
he didnt wait and sold it to the dealer. which is fine

i was one of the few genuinely interested in buying it.
Nothing wrong with people buying and selling vehicles, but i think the mark up was excessive. I dont think my view will be the minority one.
