DB9 Amp Location

Does anyone know where the Lin 280w Amp is ?

Manual isn't shedding much light.

I think the B&O was on the back shelf. I'll have a look in the service manual later and see if it shows it for the Linn.

The Linn boat anchor PoS is under the rear shelf, behind the rear seats. Access from in the car, not boot.

Always thought it was behind the panel in the boot fixed to the bulkhead it has a screw in each corner. Of course it may have changed position over the years mine is a 2004 car.

If it isn't then I will be unscrewing forthwith to discover what it is.

Just had a look at the parts page and it is described as Cover Panel, audio amp and the screws are not quite in each corner but there are four of them.

Amp is behind that cover slacker. 4 torx and done.

Was gonna check it an aux feed can be soldered in.

Must have changed position then or altered bulkhead over the years. When Works made a 3 week pigs ear of "upgrading" (well, add volume, a load of hiss and lower definition and remove arm and leg for payment) mine ('07 I think it was), they added another amp in after the Linn crap under the parcel shelf. The parcel shelf had a cutout in it all ready to take a decent sub, but was covered over hence the speaker in the middle of the rear seats.

My rear shelf has the cutout for a big sub under the covering and the bump out in the boot would place the amp under the shelf but gives more convenient access. You can't miss it underneath the satnav dvd.
