Lost signal on terrestrial digital telly.
Discussion
The signal on my telly has been deteriorating for a while. The signal strength has slowly gone down but the signal quality stayed high. Today it reached the critical level resulting in -
'no digital signal detected - check your coaxial cable or aerial'
I think the problem is the co-ax that runs down the interior of the brick wall from the attic where the aerial is to the living room where the wall socket is.
I've tested with another telly, and same thing. Both telly work with temporary alternative cables/aerials.
I tried to pull the cable up and down from the attic and from the living room, but it is stuck firm on something.
I think I will have to write off the idea of pulling the old cable out and replacing with new.
I would like to keep the aerial in the attic and the telly in the living room.
Any ideas for routing a new cable, with the least house fabric disruption, internally or externally to get my signal back?
Also - I don't know which forum to put this in.
Thanks forum mover, x.
