So, I am a die hard 911 fan.

However, I am just wondering how many 911 owners are considering perhaps getting the new Jaguar F Type? And why? (or why not?)

Cheers
Luke

I'd love a coupe F type but the rear seats on 911 are very useful/helpful. Stunning car the coupe IMO.

Great looking cars, but can't compete dynamically. Brute force over precision.

Did a Jag track day at the launch and drove all 3 cars.
Video on YouTube.
Have to say I prefer my 996.

Tonto has just sold his V8 and has gone to Porsche as he felt the Jag just wasn't that dynamic on our bendy roads.

My advice.

Drive a few in different conditions.

If you go on looks alone the Jag is gorgeous and would be a beautiful addition to your driveway.

Absolutely!!

Its an itch that needs scratching, I am sure after this it will be back to Porsche, variety is the spice of life after all!!

Hi

F-type coupe' vs 911 (991, I guess)

I have driven both in various formats, IMHO

F-type looks gorgeous, sounds better and is cheaper, has a tendency to oversteer that can give give enjoyment or... a bit of terror
911 has a better driving position, feels lighter and more precise, has a better interior, the 2 extra (little) seats are always very useful

Enjoy your dilemma!

Not for the shy and retiring types. Chap in local petrol station had one and we were almost deafened when it started up and could hear him driving off for at least a mile away!

That is one seriously good looking car, much more so than the roadster, that red one particularly looks good.
But I found them to be of the unusual variety of cars that look better in pics than on the road.

The first one I saw out and about, my only thoughts were, "sheet, that's BIG."

I'd still like to drive one though....
