PS4 Sports Champions (or similar)

Torn between PS4 and Xbox one for kids Christmas. He is 9 and likes his Lego games, she is 7 and likes dance/wii sports.

ps4 and xbox much of a muchness for him, the only advantage ps4 has for me is Gran Turismo when it comes out, but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of move games for PS4

Google not being my friend on this, so any guidance as to when some more physical sports games are coming out for ps4 appreciated

I don't think you are going to find much on either console to be honest. Since Xbox pulled the 'compulsory Kinect' rule there isn't much motivation for developers to make motion controlled games. People simply don't buy them. Similar on the PS4 as the Move never really took off. I suspect that if motion control is to become a 'big deal' then it will have to wait until VR becomes main stream and the two will go hand in hand.

On the PS4 I'm pretty sure there was a sports game that was free to download a couple of months ago. Sports Friends or something like that I think?

I see what you mean yes and I guess anyone wanting purely a jump up and down box will get the wiiU. Issue is I have:

9yo boy who wants to play Lego games and Minecraft
7yo girl who wants to play wii sports
43yo bloke who wants to play Gran Turismo7 and GTA...

Maybe a WiiU for her and PS4 for the boys....?
