Just want a big coupe ! Why isn't there one ?????
Discussion
Ok where's the Porsche big coupe ? Why no modern 928 ?
Porsche is now making many lines with lots of profits . They want to sell 150 000 cars a year . ( let's debate the merits of that elsewhere please ) . They have a perfect starting point for a big coupe in the panamera chassis , perfect engines electronics etc .
SO WHY ISN'T THERE A BIG COUPE AVAILABLE ?
Do big coupes sell so badly ? Conti sells well , I've just got back from an amg event where they sold the new s coupe like hot cakes .
So what the hell is it ? It wouldn't be a competitor to the conti( too different and different price range etc ) , even Ferrari sell f12 as fast as they can build them . Every single 918 owner I talked to at the 918 event I was obviously accidentally invited to said they'd love a new 928 type vehicle . Friends at Porsche tell me not a week goes by when someone doesn't ask the same question as me .
Porsche are too savvy round a pound note to miss this trick so what the hell am I missing ? Where's the big coupe ?

Porsche seem to be (allegedly) producing quite a few new models in the near future along with the next generation of all their existing cars. 928-style front engined coupe, sub-Boxster sports car with a flat 4 turbo, and next-gen 458/650S rival with a turbocharged flat 8. The one I'm hoping for is a next generation Panam following the Sport Turismo concept.

the 911 has grown into this surely? the 991 is not a small car and the Cayman is probably bigger than a 80's 911?

From that view the cabin space seems similar but the wings and tyres appear significantly larger so is the interior space much the same over the run of 911s from inception to the current model?
