What are your experiences with sellig a TVR or similar "personal plate"?
I've put it on PH Classified as s first choice, looked at ebay but when you view completed listings, nothing much has sold.
Is it worth contacting these Agencies?

Ebay auction. Start bids at 99p, it will sell at its true value

Targeted plate means targeted audience. Head to Google and find the two or three biggest TVR forums (fora?), stick it on there, you'll probably get more interest, if not necessarily a better price.

Post in the TVR Car Club forum or place an ad in the TVRCC Sprint magazine.

The older the plate, the easier it will be to sell too. Most TVRs are pre 1999 so any plate newer than that has a much more limited audience. What age is the plate?

I would certainly attempt to get it noticed by asking about it on a website with large numbers of TVR owners in the membership..

You might also want to advertise in the TVR Car Club mag?

Most private plates are next to worthless when it comes to actually selling them.

Well, there's some fairly random plates that just happen to have "TVR" letters, and there's one that seems to be related to cosy footwear for BMW soft-roader owners. I presume it's not that one...?

Not unless there's a BMW softroader beginning with B
I'm not in the TVRCC unfortunately and you aren't allow to mention it on the PH TVR forums
I'll let it sit a while longer in the PH ads, no one has said anything good about the advertising agencies - I guess these are a general fail then.
