Virgin Experience Supercar Days
Discussion
Hi All,
My good lady wife bought me a Ferrari vs Lamborghini experience from Virgin Experiences. Has anyone been on one of these? Was it any good and what track did you go to? There's a choice of nine tracks and I have no idea which one to book at, location isn't really important as we'll combine it with a few days away. Main operators that Virgin use are driveme.net, everyman racing or driving sensation, heard bad things about all of them. Virgin can't even tell me how far you'll get to drive the cars for.
Anyone got any experiences good or bad?
Cheers

I went on a supercar blast at Enstone, near Chipping Norton about a couple of months ago. It was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend it! I hadn't driven a car with any more than 120bhp before stepping out on track, but the instructor I had was encouraging and egging me to push on. The track is very narrow though, which means that it isn't quite a full on 'proper track experience'.
There are plenty of nice places to stay around the area, plus if you are an avid fan of beer, there is the hook norton brewery not too far away too. Obviously don't mix both activities unless you are looking for interesting results..

I did the same sort of thing at the Enstone location mentioned, it was crap!
They come across all gung-ho saying they have no rev limits and you can really wring the cars out, but in reality the track is simply too small for the cars available. It's more like a go kart track and I felt very disappointed that I barely got out of 2nd gear in the yellow Lamborghini.
Just my opinion but I'd look elsewhere.
