This has to have been a end of season bargain by any stretch surely?
No wonder it didn't take long to go.

This was my car and as everyone says when they are selling it was a tough decision, still not 100% sure it was the right one as it went way quicker than I expected!!, as it was (and still is) a really good car. I was simply not using it enough and we all know that having these cars parked up for long periods of time is not good for them.
I think the price was fair, for it to be a double figure car it would need a respray - even though the paint is good it is not concours - and if you were being pedantic a new roof - again even though the current one is good and water tight. Perhaps I could have pushed the price a little but it was never about squeezing every last penny from it and in reality a £500 difference would not have given a life change different result.
At this price is was accessible to many and it was much more important to me that it went to a good home, the purchaser is a 100% TVR enthusiast and I know he will look after and likely improve the car further. We talked about the wedge forum and I have no doubt he will turn up on here soon.
Thanks for all the help and fun on the forum, I will still pop on to follow news ....... if I am allowed

Hi guys. Meet the proud new owner.
Yes, it's me Tony the ElvisWedgely. I am back in the building. First of all let me start by saying what a gentleman the previous owner Dave is. For me, buying a car from a good owner is probably more important than the car itself, as I know it has been well looked after. You have my word that it will be extremely well looked after in my ownership with no expense spared. I know I've had a few wedges in the past, and I've looked after them all, but it's a bit like getting married to me, as I've always said I'll eventually settle down with the right one. Who knows, this could be the right one. It certainly ticks all the boxes. It comes from a good home, it's loud, it's a gorgeous colour, an interior to die for and a performance second to none. What more can a man ask for? A Tuscan I hear you say? One day maybe, but who needs a Tuscan when you can own such a beautiful V8. I feel for Dave as I know parting with this Wedge must have been painful for him and he's such a great guy. Still, all good things must come to an end some time I suppose but Dave will have some comfort in knowing the Wedge will want for nothing. Oh! and it came with that beautiful personal plate,
'E15 TVR' which actually is well suited I thought like 'Elvis' TVR'. How about that then?
I can't wait for the summer now, for some great Wedge days.

I sold the 350SE a while back and the plan was to source a Tuscan or possibly a corvette C3. I looked at a few corvettes and even drove one but I was disspointed in that the drive felt nothing like a TVR. Tuscans on the other hand are getting pricier and the cheap ones are too far gone. So when this came up I was praying I'd be able to buy it as it was such a long way away from me. I am so happy that I bought it though as it's the colour and condition I had always wanted. Here is a quick photo of it tucked away in my garage.

Lovely Wedge..
I bought a C4 Corvette a few years ago, I wanted to try something different. Biggest mistake of my life. It looked good, but the performance was nothing to write home about. The steering wheel was on the wrong side..which drove me potty, and it was an auto. I even fitted a full stainless Borla exhaust system, and it still didn't sound half as good as a Wedge!
I sold it after a few months and bought a 450 SEAC.. Much better!
No regrets though, as it made me realise just how good the TVR Wedge is!

You have described the corvette experience so very accurately. Soon as I drove the C3 I knew it wasn't the car for me. I love the looks but the performance and the sound was nothing to write home about like you say. Plus of course it's a left hand and an auto. No. It had to be the good old wedge again for me.
