Tapping noise on MK3 Corsa

I have a 1.2 Energy 16V Corsa, and there is a loud tapping noise, I've heard that some Vauxhall engines do have tapping noises, i took it to the garage, some said the tappits, some said timing chain, however I have heard some Corsa's which are a bit louder, I bought for £1500, not sure if i will be able to sell it the way it is, the drive is completely fine and it always has more than enough oil..

the cheaper option is to turn up the radio

ha, honestly, its a petrol and sounds like an awful diesel engine

haven't made one thread about the corsa in particular, completely different thread
