what size pipe for sleeving?

From memory I think it is 2 inch, I'll try and find my old perforated pipe and get a clearer measurement.

It was 2 1/4" OD as I recall, when I did mine.

I've just done this last weekend. 2" will match up to the pipe diameter currently feeding into your box. If you are planning on reusing this it will tack weld on ok with some measuring, but will not sleeve over anything without a flare.

Each to ones own but if I could cut down the noise by 20% I would.

51mm OD to fit into existing pipe as link to thread above. 55ID to fit over it.

Semi-sleeving doesn't increase the noise dramatically.

Hi Rob,

If you are not far from Biggleswade I have some 2" exhaust pipe you can have that I recently did my sleeving with. (if you look through my recent history I posted up pics too)

Hi all, got it all done and opted for leaving 100mm of perforated in(not sure of the percentage) but I was worries if I did 100% as I'm full de catted already and was worries it would be to loud. Thanks ace of hearts for the offer of the pipe. Luckily my mate works at Borely bros in teversham and had stock of the right size pipe to do it. I removed the exhaust and cut it open he did the welding and supplied the pipe for £45 and I just have to re-fit it so I think that's a bargain. Next job new cam.

Easiest thing is to find a ph'er who wants a sleeved exhaust and do a swap
