Hi all,

Having been a TVR owner for the last 18months, with both a Cerbera and a Tuscan being my only cars, I have finally got tired off all the niggling problems, and decided to swap to Porsche for the more refined and more reliable option.

Having spent the last few weeks deliberating which way to go, I have finally plumped for a 911 (996) Turbo in Seal Grey, with full black leather etc etc.
Must say that Shirleys of Meriden have been absolutely excellent throughout, always pleased to help and offer advice, with a 'number' of test drives in various cars never being a problem.

Only thing left to do is to get a new plate, change my addy on here and pick the new toy up next week hopefully, with I dare say a big smile on my face.

If there are any 'needs to know' regarding engine warm up, oil etc etc, no matter how small, that a newby to 911 ownership should know, I would be most grateful.

Cheers guys

Congratulations!

I assume that would be the w-reg tip that they have on their web site? If so, with 35k miles it should be run in by now, so no special treatment required... Just let the engine get above 80 degrees before caning it

Congrats on your new toy I too came from a Cerbera to a TTX50 both lovely cars, but very different.

Just make sure you check the oil and dont boot it till the engine and brakes are warm.

learn to drive it slowly first then you can drive faster...

ENJOY.
