Hello all,

It is with some regret that I am saying goodbye to TVR ownership next week.

Having owned both a Cerbera and a Tuscan over the last 2 years, using both on a daily basis as they were both my only car, I have finally got a little tired of all the niggles that keep coming up.
The cars are absolutely fantastic to drive, but as my warranty company is firmly in recievership (Holdings ... yeah I know now!) I am/have been scared to death of the engine going bang and the fact that I may be looking down the barrel of 8-10k for a rebuild/new engine .... it has been fine, but with the amount of engines having trouble, it would be stupid to ignore this possibility.

All the guys who I have met through my ownership, Steve G, Phil, Steve & Andrea, Mad John, Tony M, Phil, Howard, Tony etc etc really are a brilliant bunch. The 'Back Home' trip was also a great weekend with too much beer amongst other things.

I don't think that any other marque comes close to the headtunring ability of a TVR, nor able to put the same smile on your face when you firmly plant that right foot. When the long term quality and robustness of TVR's are improved to the extent that we would all love and hope for, I will be the first at the dealerships, but until then .....

So good luck to all, and a quick word of advice to any new/potential buyers ... make sure you get a good warranty before you buy, just in case. The cars will put such a smile on your face you'll love em, but make sure you shop around and get a good deal.

Cheers all

Paul,

Sad to see that you are moving on, the new car sounds fantastic Porka 911 Turbo isn't it? This car will be good for you as I understand that it requires much less driver input with four wheel drive/ABS/tracton control?

Thanks for your company on the runs that we did, you know that you will be welcome to tag along with the WarksTVR lot this year.... and there is Le Mans too..

Hope that you are pleased with the new car and that she keeps the big grin on your face!

Steve. G.
