remotes interfering with each other
Discussion
Lg TV sky box and a cheap amp off ebay . the cheap amps remote works fine it only seems to do what its supposed to do but the sky or TV remote gets the amp changing volume turning off chasing input etc and that would be great but it seems fairly random press right on sky remote not only does sky box respond but am puts volume down or it turns it off its really annoying as browsing the guide has all sorts of side affects ! Any ideas ?
fun time.
Sounds like you are unlucky in getting two 'compatible' devices. I don't think there is a solution.
I can only suggest separating them or if you tend to only use one at a time, cover the amp sensor with something.
Does the volume up button also act as the Sky Right? if it doesn't then try a universal remote that might help but its a long shot.

The sky remote should have the ability to swop modes which might help.
1 Press "TV"
2 Press and hold "Select" and "Blue" together until red led in remote end flashes twice - if it doesn't flash twice then remote cannot be reprogrammed (clone or too old)
3 Press "1"- There are 4 different modes here 0, 1, 2, 3
4 Press "Select" - red led should flash twice
5 Press "Sky" and away you go
The above certainly helped with a similar issue I had.
I believe 0 is the default so try 1, 2 or 3 at step 3

No it seems to not control the skybox using the amp remote. Its very bizarre and doesn't do it every time im thinking Logitech rf remote stick amp in cupboard then talk to it using a Logitech ir sender. If not who knows
This. Got a Logi 900. Works very well. Get a pair of senders which you can assign to specific devices. Bit pricey though.
