Which one would you buy?

Hello everyone,
Really need your help in making my decision. It's a yellow Chimaera for me but I can't decide which one and would really appreciate your thoughts:
Option 1)
I've test driven this one and it's nice and tight. Pricey but I'm working the price down:

Option 2)
I test drive the above one to see if I liked it before making the 7 hour round trip to view this one which I'm told I can have for £10.4k:

Option 3)
I can see the benfit of a later model even if I miss out on the more characterful 4.3. If that's the case then perhaps I should consider the 9 hour round trip for this one because it seems similar to Option 1 but cheaper starting price:

I was very close to buying option 2 myself before I found my 430 a good bit cheaper.
Personally I think you should always go for the best condition one you can afford. A trader will always dress a car up for a sale but you might get warranty. A private sale should show a more honest car if coming from an enthusiast but no come back if there are problems.
Having said all that, I still think I'd go for the 430

Both James Agger and Hexam appear to have good reputations. Not heard too much about Shmoo, good bad or indifferent. Their yellow Chim in Devon has been for sale for a long time.
Personally I like the darker interior, rather than the cream/pale interior. The single colour interior seems less fussy than the two tone as well. For me I think Aggers car would look even better with a black dash rather than the bare metal.
I had a look at the car James has for sale at the weekend. It is very nice and does not appear to need much doing, although I did not get a good look at the chassis or engine bay. James does seem to be well respected and seems to get good cars in, with plenty or repeat business which has to be a good thing. Yes, it is the most expensive, but if it ticks all the boxes for you, and it is within the budget, go for it before somebody else does. Getting one close to home would also be a benefit for me if I were buying from a dealer, just in case you need anything doing afterwards.

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies - a lot of love going out to the 4.3 although the positive comment made about James Agger certainly rings true from my experiment so far. Actually I must say all three dealers have been very helpful.
The yellow 5ltr just seemed to be a bit too good to be true at that price so I kind of dismissed it.
What are other people's thoughts.

Been vaguely thinking about selling mine recently but I'm in no hurry. For the right price though I might be persuaded, but price may be the sticking point. This is one of the best original ones out there and there are very few left in this condition with such low miles and high spec.
Yr 2000 5 ltr model, 26k and immaculate. Dripping with Leven stuff, new ally rad, full geo, new Toyos all round, FSH from HHC with a recent full 12k service done by TVR Ecosse, hot start mod, excellent chassis, CD changer, always garaged etc.

I have one that is very good just collected it from rt racing after a full chassis referb so all nice and shiny underneath !
Delivered to a pro paint shop for a full respray also just had the dark blue leather seats recovered in Blackpool:-)
Oh and it a rare factory decat lol gets better every day (",) anyone that knows me will know I like my cars. Btw my other car is a T350t
This will be for sale shortly if interested
