With the vaguest title in the world, I have a question regarding something strange that happened today, and I was hoping maybe someone on here would have an insight. Today a neighbour saw a woman park infront of my car, get out and look at my car and take notes on her iPad, this neighbour also said that she walked to the side of my car, and looked down the side of it. My car is always parked on the street infront of my house, but not mounting the kerb. Does anyone have any clue who this might be? All I could think was either from my insurance company, or possibly the council? Any input would be most welcome!

Thanks.

The neighbour didn't think to take down her vehicle details?

Be positive! If your car is interesting or rare, maybe she's from a car finder service and you're going to get a really generous offer for it very soon.

I wouldn't class a '99 Ford Puma as especially rare!

If your rear arches are in one piece, that makes it quite rare!

See if she's on pumapeople?

There is not a single speck of rust on the wheel arches, I like to think it is the only one in existence without rust! biggrin

Is there any bumps or marks on it? The person could have been taking photos on the iPad as part of an insurance claim.

No scratches, the only mark is a tiny transfer of red paint where I assume someone opened their door onto it, as it is in the middle of the driver side door, however that was already there when I got the car.

Might be a nosey neighbour reported it for no good reason and the council are doing a few checks.

This was my first thought, possibly to do with the fact I park on the street?

Why do people find it so difficult to know the difference between your and you're?

The council/someone may be planning to resurface your road, or maybe one of your neighbours is requesting a disabled bay, and she could have been carrying out a quick siter survey of some sort? She may have looked at/in your car for a disabled badge, thinking it was the applicants car.

Just a possibility. smile

I'd like to think it was something as simple as that, that would be the ideal outcome for it! However I am doubting that is the case, as I live in a rather rural, quiet village frown
