I don't know (and I've no link with him either), I presume that they are by commission so as you suggest I suspect deep pockets are needed. I posted the link more on the basis that the models seemed to be pretty impressive being scratch built and there are quite a few other vids on YouTube. He appears to have done quite a lot of them for museums etc. That said it's a shame that he doesn't seem to go into the techniques used/detail much.
