Drives out that have become tradition
Discussion
Do you have one/any?
My Mrs and I have one in particular that we stick to. On New Year's Day a number of years ago, when I first ventured into the world of Impreza ownership, I decided on the spur of the moment that we should take a drive out to the Buttertubs Pass - in the snow!
I am probably a little bit mad, but must admit it was fantastic. I always love the Dales in winter. The snow makes everything so picturesque. The best bit though was that the roads were completely empty, save for a few inconsiderate sheep
The road closed sign that we drove past probably had something to do with that
I'll never forget that day out. It's one that really does stick in my mind. We now go every NYD on the same little excursion. It's always good fun.
Anybody else do anything similar?

Just be careful of the road closed signs. Was with a friend in February he went through a weather related road closed sign and ended up with a £60 fine from the police.
To be fair, it looked like it had been left behind as the road wasn't actually coned off or anything. If it had been, I'd have turned back. Wasn't like that last year though, so happy days.
