Following on from my last thread, the idle musings of a Country Lad.

I'm currently looking for a multi-purpose fun car.

Stopping by a well known Norfolk purveyor of fine British Motor Cars, I stumbled on this nice example of a Ford Escort among a bevy of Astons, Lotus and Morgans.



As its so nice I thought it deserved a thread of its own, probably more fitting for the Classic or Ford forum.



I don't know much about stuff made in Dagenham. It is very nice and really doesn't need the hard sell. Nice guy's, they don't do that here anyway.



One lady owner, carefully raced twice. And it shows, unblemished.
Possibly too nice for my purposes and its got race rubber on nifty rims.



Functional interior. If I were to buy this for Sunday drives down to the Ace Cafe I'd ditch the safety yellow and do some period black-on-white Dymo tape.



Sports purpose bucket.
Add another and you've got a great tool for classic rallies.



No arm out posing here.



Weber DCOE45's - so much nicer than the modern gear.



Twin cam red top Vauxhall. Built just down the road at Scholar Engines in Suffolk. With 240 bhp it will be rapid as well as tried and tested.



Ready to go. Just add the numbers.

It is a very very nice car and 'No, I'm not connected to the seller.'

Just thought it was worth photographing and sharing with the PH massive.

I can steer interested parties in the right direction, but Google will be quicker.

I'm pretty sure you're right.

Saw it again yesterday, centre stage, surrounded by a cast of British talent.
Still looks a nice fun thing.

Regardless I'm still searching and have now crossed Dagenham (and Luton) products off my list.

My search continues.....
