The whole unit, including the heartbeat style chargecooler. Not sure what I'll do with it, as it fits LS3 heads and I've just bought a FAST intake. Nice chap in Canada - maybe it's too good to be true. Still needs a lower pulley, pump, radiator, etc. It's only a TVS1900 too, but hey at that price why not?

He has a couple of LS9 units, but they were a little over £3K.

Found him while checking out a used TVS2300 for £550. No chargecooler, but I've got something for that.

Prices plus p&p and duties, obviously.

PS was wondering what it would take to mount a Northstar V8 supercharger on an LS engine. New chargecooled superchargers (heartbeat style, with the cooler on top) can be had for £5-600. I understand that the charger itself is a 122 TVS....

Oh to live in the States (sigh)

What are you thinking of putting it in? The LSA unit didn't fit on our old VXR8, so certainly won't fit a Monaro.

Not sure right now smile

I understand that the key issue is height to the rear of the inter cooler box? Looking inside the box reveals a lot of empty space and a small intercooler core. It could be a bit of trimming of the box will do.the trick. If not, there's bound to be a Camaro owner who wants it.

There's a glut if these units, especially warranty returns that can be had for under £500 (with no intercooler box). These 'failed' units are fixed with a $50 spacer. The box is quite literally that: A box with a small radiator in it. Can't be too hard to get one fabricated to fit a VXR8 and/or Monaro. The only issue with the Monaro is they are LS3 units (so heads and front accessory drive).

Maybe a few forum users will benefit from my R&D.

The ls9 sc is a 2.3l charger isn't it? Would it be a straight swap for the Lsa charger? Might be interested in doing that in about a year along with updating to ls9 internals.

Don't see why not. Would be worth pitching the question on one of the American forums.

You have an LSA motor? What's it running in? Be nice to see one in situ.

The gts runs a box with a cut out at the rear for the bulkhead so that would help fitment
At that price you can afford to do a fair bit of modding before you get anywhere near the price for a Tvs kit!! so hats off to you Arnie I look forward to reading about the build thumbup

This looks interesting but will there be anything for an LS1?

The front drive arrangement on the LS9 is rather different from the LSA, though im sure it is do-able.

Adaptor plates are due soon. Though this will make it taller still. On a monaro, thats going to be a significat problem

Yup, just found this http://www.hotrod.com/news/lingenelter-lsa-to-ls9-...smile More research needed methinks.

What are good yankee forums to use, have come across ls1tech but the layout confuses me a little!

STOP PRESS

Assuming the pictured supercharger arrives, the one I've bought is the same as the one in the Gen-F GTS. That is, it has the cut-out at the back of the intercooler box.

I'll post some pictures tonight.

That should be the case. From what I have read, the LSA in the Gen-F didn't have any work done on it to modify it, most of the modifications were to the chassis to let the stock LSA fit smile

Does that mean it will fit an LS3 engined VXR8?

No. The engine in the GTS was moved to allow it fit. On an LS3 R8, the scuttle fouls the blower - by a lot. Too high also at the front.
