Today, the 13th, marks 5 years since I took delivery of my then-new MY09 V8 Vantage (Coupe, Sports Pack, manual 'box). It was the realization of a dream, and it's been a wonderful 5 years. I still get a thrill every time I drive it, and even every time I look at it. I've driven all the latest "competition," and nothing has made me want to make a change. It has been superbly reliable (only the AM radio band died several years ago, under the original warranty). Also, today would have been the last day of the expensive extended warranty -- which I did not buy. Total cost of repairs during the two years out of warranty: $0.00. Wonderful car to own and drive.

Yes! Looking forward to having the same fortune with mine. I know what you mean about the competition... nothing else feels quite as special.

Nice to hear, im 7 years and 70k miles in with mine and wouldnt change it for anything else except a newer Roadster, preferably V12 ...Im saving up for that smile

Its been a great car, very reasonable and nothing significant in terms of unscheduled maintenance....still on the original clutch too ...it might even last until I can afford that V12 smile

Great to hear some positives, as we often focus on the less desirable features on here. I'm just over 3 years and still loving the experience. The car has had very few minor issues and has got better with age, shall we say. Congrats Speedraser, and thanks for opening up a feel good thread - don't get too many of these. thumbup

Happy Birthday (yesterday) to your Vantage, Mr. Speedraser.

Mine will also celebrates it's fifth birthday, next month.
Late 2008 appears to have been a good build period, because so far, nothing has gone wrong with mine either. Here is a picture taken at Gaydon.

- Well there would have been - if the 'Upload an image (beta)' worked -

I've recently sold mine, ran it for 3 years and 21k miles. Only non-scheduled work was a speed sensor on a rear hub and replacing the belts which whined a little and irritated me. An awesome and rock solid daily drive which I'll miss terribly.
