Well, its getting colder and I'm still not prepared to put the roof up so I have been using the heater a little more than usual. THAT was probably a mistake.
I have a pre-facelift '96 Chimaera and the heater know has decided to only allow me to use stage 1.
Stage 2 and 3 are dead - Stage 1 doesn't keep going at that level through stage 2 and 3, it cuts out completely when you turn the knob further.
I have a replacement knob (lets skip the jokes on that one
) and this doesn't make any difference so I am presuming it must be the controller rather than the motor or kn...(lets just say switch). Does this seem plausible? Any other ideas?
Do any of you know what the part number is, where I could purchase a replacement and/or where the thing is located?

No experience of the heater control on the chim, but my guess is it would be a variable resistance, with stops for each speed, if it is, there could be corrosion on the track, my wife's iron stopped working, and I repaired it by moving the temperature control up and down quickly, so you need to grab your knob and be rough with it
