The back fell of the drivers seat in my Monaro months ago, only getting round to putting it back on now.

Going to order new clips from Monkfish, just checking to see if anyone knows how many it takes?

You will need two clips per seat.
Don't forget to put plenty of white grease on them to prevent any squeaking.
Also these clips are a fit once only, if you try to remove them they break!

Is there any any special trick for clipping it back in?

I found the diagram below but it doesn't help much.

How much force is needed? I feel like if I push the panel up any more I'm going to rip the seat out of the car!

Is that normal or should it clip in fairly easily?

Having fixed the retainers into the seat back I found it easy to clip it back in place. If you're using a lot of force it sounds as if the retainers aren't aligned properly with the openings. This happened to me because the retainers hadn't seated properly in the seat back, so I used a small G-clamp to press them fully home and all was then fine.
