For those of you who are a bit nervous about having the windscreen replaced, I can tell you that I have had mine professionally done today by National Windscreens and very pleased with the result.
I was asked to bring the car to their Swindon depot as it was rightly forcasted it would take time to do. About 3 hours in total. As predicted by you guys, more of a pig to get out than to put in! However, the boys at N.W. have done a sound job.
Just a few points of interest, I was told that the S screen is the same as the Capri Mk 1 and the Reliant Simitar. So it is easily available, in fact with in 24 hrs notice. If you do use National Windscreens be prepared to check that you dont get a Tamsin screen (complete with a blue tint), like I did yesterday - a mix up of TVR serial numbers which is printed in their hand book.
Well worth the £50 excess courtsey of insurers Footman James.
