Hi there,
My wife's boxster S is suffering from excessive condensation which seems to be caused by the carpet on the drivers side being quite wet.I have checked the drain holes at both front and rear, and these seem to be fine, as does the door seal which I believe is another culprit for letting in water. Are there any other things I should check before taking it in to the garage? The dampness also feels a bit greasy as if not just water, but not sure. Any help or guidance appreciated.

"greasy" feel to the fluid could be coolant. This could be from the heater core. Or it might be possible (?) that a leaking coolant tank is dumping coolant into the cabin space.
Regardless you must find the source of the leak and fix it pronto. You must at the same time remove the water/moisture. The car's security control module is located on the floor under one of the seats. (In USA cars it is the right hand seat, the passenger's seat.)
Moisture will damage the security control module and cause all kinds of goofy electrical gremlins.
