Hi there

Had new tyres fitted over a week ago, shortly afterwards the rear left wheel stopped transmitting on the dash for pressure and then the TPMS shut down and lit the dash up. Tried reset via dash, tried selecting winters and then summers, no effect, tried increasing pressures and no effect. So had a Christmas tree dash for a while.

I ran durametric and it reported right rear had zero battery life and was running at 215c with like 100psi. So replaced right rear sensor this morning and still after a long drive and attempted reset and still no pressures shown. frown

Checked durametric and it still shows rear right as being battery dead.

This is driving me mad now, could the car have it's right and left mixed up or is there another kind of reset I need to run on TPMS?

Sorry can't particularly help with your problem although I suspect that your sensor was damaged whilst the tyres were changed. If correctly coded in it should all all work.

I recently replaced all my wheels and tyres and also my TPMS sensors as they were 7 years old.
I used i-sensor (a Google will find these).
True to the advertising blurb they needed no recoding or anything!

Within a short drive they re learnt and were working perfectly.
Never had a problem with readings or error messages.

My car is a 2007 C4s.
I bought them from ACD Lancashire ( a Chrysler dealer) with a Tpms sideline.
They came complete with valves arrived the next day the cost was £240 for four inc vat & delivery!

They were very knowledgeable on the phone and helpful so maybe worth a phone call for advice.
Hope you sort it PM me if you need any more help.

Dave

Gibbo

As an after thought you could have a new faulty sensor.
Been in the motor trade for ever, it's not unknown.

Let us know how you get on

Going to swap the rear wheels round to see if durametric then says the opposite side is duff to rule that out.

Hi Gibbo, did u fit genuine sensor, you have to fit in pairs,as they operate different to original and its easier to put each bar code thats on the sticker into the correct wheel, try that and it should automatically reset the system.

If using aftermarket sensors, they must be cloned to the original and will only operate with that wheel on the correct side. It also can take up to 20 miles for the system to read the new sensor and will only give a reading when the car is stationary.

I don't think that is so. At least I change one sensor on my 2008 997 gen 1 with no probs, apart from the obligatory relearning time. They were not genuine Porsche replacements. Although you can have them cloned if you want

Not true.

One of the sensors had indeed failed, changed it out with a new one and the system sorted itself out. smile

Sensor cost me like $70 from USA smile
