Nice to see that such an outstanding British driver of my childhood is still actively involved with cars and motoring in general. Stirling Moss was undoubtedly the greatest all round racing driver that I have ever seen. Quite magnificent man. Stuart Mills must be cock a hoop with the attention his products are receiving from the Maestro and what a delight for all MEV fans.

The Replicar is undoubtedly an exceptionally well conceived and constructed tribute vehicle and remarkably well priced by MEV. Given the weight reduction that the resultant kit must be showing and the really very svelte lines of the Replicar the performance must be significantly improved over the MX5 donor I am away in Italy for some time enjoying the byeways of Tuscany in vintage Alfa Romeos so I cannot be there. Damned good post, well spotted Nigel.

I'll be interested to hear how their chance encounter when Steffan. like you, I'm sure Stuart hold Sir Stirling Moss's opinion in the highest regard so it'll be interesting to hear what his thoughts were of Stuart reincarnation of the famous Aston Martin DBR1 that Sir Sterling drove, the MEV Replicar.

I was delighted and somewhat flattered when Sir Stirling showed interest in the car. He said " Oh I see, people can now build their own" he then asked "have you weighed her, what does she weigh" I said "under 700 kgs", he replied "marvellous, what motor do you run"? I said "it's a Mazda" , he said "wonderful, they rev like the clappers don't they" We had a great chat but they had to move on as Mike Brewer was waiting for him for a live interview on stage. I asked him to sign my car before he left, he did In felt pen !!! What a star.

Fantastic show, extremely busy and so many potential MEV customers who really understood the modern mechanical's with classic looks approach. Everyone was so polite and complimentary, it was refreshing to discover there are so many gentlemen left in the world. I guess it goes with the territory, classic cars, English gents.

Good afternoon, Stuart, delighted to hear that the show was such a success. I honestly think that for sheer value for money combined with one donor simplicity, major weight reduction and the consequent simplicity of build that this kit represents this is an unbeatable package. I can well understand why the classic car enthusiasts are recognising the exceptional qualities in this car and the advantages of using a base car which as Sir Stirling said himself, "Rev like crazy". An unbeatable affordable driveable good looking very quick car with the simplicity of one donor maintenance. Best of luck to you you deserve your success. Certainly a car I will be looking at when I return from Italy in May.
