I've narrowed down my car choices (after some test drives specifically aimed at my wonky back!) to a Peugeot RCZ 200bhp or a Mercedes SLK 200K (181bhp).

Struggling to choose.

I need to re-test the RCZ as my back is particularly troublesome at the moment and haven't been in one when it was this bad, so need to make sure it will be ok; the Merc was incredibly comfortable.

I've been looking a GT spec 200bhp RCZ, and the 2008+ SLK model - budget 10-12K (I'd prefer to spend less though!!!).

I also want heated leather seats which limits the SLKs available a bit.

For that price the RCZ would have around 30, 40K miles (except for one 'cheaper' one with 73K) and the Merc would have around 60, 70K (although there is one for 12 grand with 40K on the clock but it's a private sale, so no warranty...). The Merc will be around 2-3 years older.

The RCZ will be more fuel efficient (42 vs 35) and has back seats, but I'm not so fussed about those differences.

Aside from the badge difference (Peugeot vs Merc, LOL!), is there any particular pros/cons I need to think about??

I love the way both drive; the Merc felt like it had more than the 181bhp.

Reliability? (I see earlier SLKs get roof leaks/leaky boots, but not sure these later models do?)
Service costs - I figure Merc will be a lot more!?!

Cheers

Ross

Are you going to start a thread every time you dismiss the one that isn't the Peugeot?

Just continue the other one or stop being indecisive and buy the damn Peugeot.

Buy an E46 M3.

There. Done.

Hahahaha sorry, I do seem to be be indecisive and keep starting threads smile

I'm just sick of buying cars and 3 months later deciding it's not for me, so want to get it right this time!

Very expensive changing cars. Why not have some Recaros fitted, hold onto the original seats for resale.
