Cigarette Lighter

How do you remove this? I have the door panel off but I cannot see a way of getting it out the trim. Not a new years resolution to quit smoking but a desire to fit my top up charger.

I take it you mean the body that the lighter goes into.I thought it just prissed out, out of interest why do you need to take it out. Some battery conditioners have a Cigar lighter adapter. just plugs straight in.

Agree with B.B. lose your lighter socket and you lose the recharge facility for all manner of gizmo's. Easier to get a plug to fit your battery conditioner.

The Chrome plated bit that sits above the door panel is threaded. To remove it you need to hold the top and unscrew the lower bit, having removed the wires first. I know this because mine fell apart and dropped inside the door when I was…… as others have said plugging in the battery conditioner.
