Something wrong with this story...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151477406023?ru=http%3A%...

Here's a clue...

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_Howard

What an odd thing to lie about.

I clicked 'em! biggrin
Because of my good nature I'll pass on what I gleaned from the links. Advert claims car was owned by actor, yet actor died the year before car was made. Ta daa!

could it be a mix up

he bought it off the actors widow but it was infact hers.
It could have 'T Howard' in the logbook, but maybe her name begins with a T too?

Yes 140 bhp out of a 1.6 205 Gti takes some serious work a cat cam and a revised throttle body may not produce 140 bhp!

The front wing would annoy me too much. The shade doesn't even look close.

I just bought a car & the dealer claimed he'd bought it off a member of 80's jazzpoptastic funk lite combo, Shakatak. So, what with the world being the way it is now, I went on Twitter & asked George Anderson, Shakatak's bass guitarist if he knew the car & any of its history.

To no surprise at all, he told me no one in Shakatak had ever owned that car. Doesn't matter either way, but why make something like that up?
