W204 C200 Cdi Remap or a Tuning box?

Dear All,
I know this has been raised before, but we are in 2014 now and there have been some improvements of late.
A couple of questions if you don't mind, and I would appreciate anyone's experience on remapping or tuning a 200 Cdi.
Recently purchased a '08 W204 200 Cdi Elegance with 50k mls, and so far so good. Nothing wrong with a BMW 320d but I just fancied a change. Delighted with the comfort and no nonsense A to B ability, happily report no creaks or noises and it is doing what it says on the tin. It is just a little bit too slow that's all, so am looking at a remap.
Having remapped my last A4 TDi at Kartechnic in Poole with a resounding success many years ago, i'm aware that tuning boxes (DTUK et al) have come on in leaps and bounds, but would a remap still be better? I now live near Chippenham btw. Any economy gain is useful but not the be all and end all. Just a bit more go please.
Any advice, positive or negative experience would be most welcome.
