Help - Accidentally Deleted my GT6 Game Data

As per above, I've accidentally deleted my Game Utility Data for GT6. The game is now defaulting back to the start and asking me to log my name etc etc. I can see from my saved data utility that there is a GT6 back up (the information shows my last progress), but how do I transfer the saved game data to the game and back up my previous position. Any advice much appreciated in advance....

If you have ps+ you can go to the save game data on the ps3 menu, look for ps+ then you can copy to the console (press triangle for the option I think). If not I don't know how to help.
