996.2 Carrera oil temp reading

Is there any way to get an oil temp reading on a 996.2 Carrera? Sometimes cars have little tricks to show this sort of thing via the stereo / OBC / aircon panel etc.

Does this work on the face lifted 996?

It works well on my '99 996, but doesn't show oil temp.
