Its been almost 12 months since I picked up my controller or mouse in anger for some gaming time and in all honesty, I am still to see anything that would change this.

My last decent gaming outings were Fallout 3, Halo Reach, Starcraft 2 & GTA V. Nothing since...

So whats out there that might ignight my fancy again?

Tried Fallout New Vegas? Quite similar to Fallout 3.

GTA V and Fallout 3 are both Sandbox games

so how about Borderlands 1, 2 and 3(the pre-sequel)

sandboxy and quite a laugh

I've enjoyed them after Fallout3 and GTAV

If you like first person sandboxy games like Fallout 3 then I would recommend:
  • The Bioshock series
  • The Borderlands series
  • Deus Ex: Human Revolution
  • Far Cry 3, and the recently released Far Cry 4
  • Fallout: New Vegas (getting quite long in the tooth now but there are a stack of mods that improve it enormously)
  • Dishonored
  • Skyrim (I'm not really a fan of swords & spells, but it was a nice change. I didn't really bother with magic, and got proficient with the bow ASAP, and then after that it was less swords & spells, which suited me well)

Alien Isolation. Very scary and very hard (even on Easy).

Oh if you liked Fallout 3 I suspect you might enjoy skyrim as someone above said.

I take it this is not on a PS4 though? If yes, Far Cry 4...
