Ultima Ground Clearance
Discussion
I am trying to work out the details of ground clearance for a GTR in my driveway. From searching the posts I have found some of the dimensions:
Mid Pan Ground Clearance: 3 Inches
Wheel Base: 101 Inches
Front Axle Clearance: 4.3 Inches
Rear Axle Clearance: 6.3 Inches
But... to complete the puzze for approach and departure angles I need front and rear overhang.
Anybody?
Thanks,
-Sky

The setup for ride height is 110mm in line with front axle and 160 rear. I have 80mm under my drop floor. This probably extends back to the mid point of the wheelbase but will be slightly higher at that point.
Rear approach angle will not be a problem as the tail rounds up almost from the back of the wheel.
Front approach will be your problem area if any. The front of the splitter is 570mm from the wheel contact and will be about 100mm from the ground.
The ride height is fully adjustable so you may be able to set it higher but this will compromise its looks and perhaps its road manners. The factory may be able to suggest the max height you could take it to.

I made up a gauge to check my drive.
Start with a length of lumber, nail to it smaller pieces at right angles representing each of the wheel ride heights and the drop floor. The extra dimensions you will need are, the drop floor pan starts 830mm from tire contact and finishes at 1530mm. The front edge clears 80mm and the rear 100mm.
You then go out and look like an idiot as you 'Drive' it on and off the road.
