Got my Mini up for sale and get an email saying "Hello and can you tell me if this is your car? [insert link to my geuine advert] because someone else is selling the same car for half your asking price. The link is here: [insert link that tries to take you to pistonheads.eu.blah blah blah but asks me to log in first when I'm already logged in].

This is why I dislike selling cars privately. First a joker texting me having a go at my price and then scammers trying to get my log in details. I'm part exing next time! lol

Do the admins need the scammers email address or any other details?

Just got a similar one:

Email: AndrewMarshall468+bmw245@Gmail.com
Name: Andrew
Phone:
Message:
" Hi,
Is this your car?

Link: fn4.de/piston-heads-cars-bmw--20063089046
(if the link does not work copy and paste it into a new tab window)
I am very interested in purchasing but first i want to make sure if this is your car.
Regards,
Andrew "

It will help if you can send details to either Racing Pete or adverts@pistonheads.com smile
