After being sat for a couple of weeks (which has been admittedly wet weather) I took the car out for a blast and for the first minute or two I had a few drips of water coming from the right hand most sunvisor bracket fitment attached to the roof, no more than an egg cup full.

Having checked around it didn't appear to have been dripping while it was sat, there was no discernible dampness on the alcantara head lining or carpets and there is no sunroof although it does have the ski rack slots. It's a 2002 996TT if that makes any difference.

The only potential thing that occurred to me was whether there had been a little bit of condensation built up in the roof itself - I am surprised it's been so isolated though.

Anyone with any better ideas ?

Thanks

J

Another vote for that. I once had a car that dripped via the rearview mirror every time I washed it...

I'd get it sorted asap as rust in the screen surround is very bad news.

Do you have a sunroof? I had a wet roof lining forward of my 996 sunroof after throwing a full bucket of water over the roof. I thought I'd overcome the capacity of the drain lines allowing the water to back up through the seals although it never happened with just rain fall.

What was the outcome from this?

I've just had a couple of drops from mine so found this using the search.
