- No, I haven't bent mine (yet...!).

But if I did, can anybody recommend a Corvette business that has done body/paint repairs on theirs within a reasonable time frame? I hear stories of waving goodbye to your car for months on end, but surely there are specialist repairers that can turn round a Vette panel repair/replacement within a month, say?

- Any recommendations received with interest and appreciation! Any horror stories too, although email me in confidence where appropriate!

I u sede to use a guy in Bishop's Stortford - Malcolm of MAG AMerican - sadly he's stopped doing bodywork now.

As an alternative - although I've never used him on the Vette, there's a guy up here in Melton Mowbray - Mark of Melton Accident Repair Centre (MARC)- he's very good rates and excellent quality.

If there's any interest I'll fish his number out.

Mill lane coach works in Aldershot did a good job of fixing the camaro sill when I gouged it on a rock, although the sill was metal rather then fibreglass etc but the paint colour was a good match and you can’t tell the difference.

They weren’t at all fazed by it being a yank and said they work on allsorts, very professionally run although you probably pay for that in their prices.

Bell and Colville the big Lotus dealer at West Horsley have been dealing with composite cars for years and if they don't do bodywork themselves are sure to be able to suggest some names. That's where I'd start.

I used Mechspray in Kent for my C4 when a lady in a Merc reversed into it! They were very good.
