Yes thanks Rog, It was great to driver it again after 4 months. The oil leak was easily cured without removal of anything major and it runs great.
I'll now just do some final preparation for the next rally on 23rd of this month.

Hey Peter

Havent been around here for a while as you may or may not of noticed.
Shame about your black cooper, hope it doesnt take you to long to get going again.
Im impressed you were racing it already as the last time I saw the car it was bog standard.

Better luck next time!

Oh and do you or chris or anyone on here fancy a mini cooper.
Dont know whats wrong with it yet but his trying to sell it for spares.

Thanks for that Dave.
The car is not really damaged and just needs a lower suspension narm pin which I'm gettting on Friday. However, the gearbox now crunches when going into top, so it's coming out when I get the time and having new syncro cones. they were all new before the rally, but I think one was defective as it always seemed weak on the top gear syncro.
Please let me know more about the Cooper for sale as I may be interested.

All the best,

Peter

Would be interested to know what the shell is like, Dave. Might be cheaper that welding my current one!
