Basically I love thrashing my Impreza around country lanes, but would love to drive on dirt roads of which there are none in this country, except for the odd boggy green lane. So my only option to get my dirt fix is to have a go at Rallycross or Autocross. I think Autocross would be a good starting point but on the MSA website it appears that they haven't been running any events for the past year. Does anyone know if there are any upcoming Autocross events in the Southeast.

It's good fun and cheap way to start as there is a class for production spec cars so you just need a roll cage and harness to get started, contact these guys for info on auto cross events in the south east ( few and far between).

Thanks for that, I'll get in contact with them. I would like to use an Impreza but in the regs it says turbo petrol cars are subject to a 40% capacity loading, I'm not sure if that means they'll just add 40% on to your time. I suppose I could just buy an old BMW 320 but I would like to stick with the Impreza as I have spares for them already and I know my way around them.

I'm pretty sure that capacity loading is instead of your Impreza being classed as a 2.0 engine it is classed as a 2.8, i.e. 40% larger.
